So since I started trying to lose weight back in December I’ve lost only 10lbs. From the get go I was having trouble understanding why I wasn’t losing weight as easily as I was before in the past, but I just figured it was from being a little older and just not being able to lose quickly like before. However, I’ve found out otherwise.
Last week I went to the doctor because I was having really bad pains in my hands and wrist. I had blood work and x-rays done so he could properly diagnose what was causing the bad pain in my wrist. My x-rays came out normal, but my blood test determined that I have a low thyroid as well as a possibility for lupus (the whole lupus thing is still up in the air).
Having low thyroid definitely causes the inability or the difficulty in losing weight. I feel this may have been the problem for me in the past few months. I haven’t gained any weight, but I definitely have to keep a watchful eye on what I put in my body.
